A Letter from Christine

Dear Reader,

When I began writing Peace Beyond Perfection, I was emerging from one of the most challenging seasons of my life. After spending three years as my mother’s caregiver, I found myself completely depleted—physically exhausted and emotionally drained.

I thought I needed to reclaim my life and get back on track with my plans. Instead, God invited me into something much more profound: a year of rest and surrender that would transform my relationship with Him and reshape my understanding of peace.

This book was born from that journey. It’s the story of how God gently led me from a life dominated by perfectionism, people-pleasing, and an exhausting need for control to a life anchored in His perfect peace. I discovered that my fear of inadequacy had been driving me for decades, and that true peace couldn’t be found in achieving more or doing everything “right”—it could only be found in surrendering to God.

If you find yourself caught in the endless cycle of striving, if you’re weary from trying to manage every aspect of your life perfectly, or if you simply long for a peace that doesn’t depend on your circumstances, this book is for you. Through these pages, I hope to walk alongside you as you discover that releasing your grip on perfection opens the door to experiencing the unshakable peace Jesus offers.

This isn’t a story about having all the answers. I’m still learning and growing each day. But I can tell you with certainty that there is a better way to live—one marked by trust rather than anxiety, rest rather than exhaustion, and peace rather than perpetual striving.

Thank you for joining me on this journey toward Peace Beyond Perfection. I believe with all my heart that the same peace God has given me is available to you too.

With hope and gratitude,
Christine
